The Soap Standard, which is also known as The Soap Standard Pty Ltd and is registered under ABN 41644614102, operates on Cabrogal land from 51 Malabar Street, Canley Vale, NSW 2166, Australia. In this document, the terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to The Soap Standard, while the terms "you," "your," and "user" refer to any individual or entity that uses our website or e-commerce platform. We refer to our website and e-commerce platform collectively as our "Service."

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, and at any time. When you place an order with us, this constitutes an offer to purchase our products in accordance with these Terms. We may choose to accept your order by arranging for the processing of your payment and shipping of the products, or we may, for any reason, decline to accept your order or any part of it.

The price payable for the products you order will be the price displayed on our website at the time you submit your order, plus any applicable delivery charges. All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars by default. Please note that our Refund Policy governs returns for faulty products.

The Soap Standard provides information and content on this website for general informational purposes only, and it should not be construed as legal or medical advice. While we take every effort to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the content on this website, we cannot guarantee that it is accurate or up-to-date. We do not endorse user-generated content submitted to our Service by you or other users, and we accept no responsibility for the content posted by users. SECTION 4 – Products and Services

Our products are made in very limited quantities and may take several months to restock once sold out. We will notify you of the expected dispatch date, and we may offer an alternative product or arrange for a refund if you prefer. However, please be aware that our Refund Policy outlines the conditions for returns or exchanges of our products.

To prevent any potential adverse reactions, we highly recommend conducting a patch test before using any new product. Apply a small amount of the product to a small patch of skin and wait for 24-48 hours to see if any irritation or allergic reactions occur. If you experience any discomfort or adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice. It is also important to carefully read and follow any instructions or warnings provided with the product to ensure safe and effective use.

We have taken great care to accurately present the colours and images of our products on this website, but please note that we cannot guarantee that the display of colours on your computer monitor or device will be entirely accurate. The actual colours of the products may differ slightly from what you see on your screen.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product, price, or service offered through our Service without prior notice. We also reserve the right to refuse any order or cancel orders placed by any person at our discretion. 

SECTION 5 – Accuracy of Account and Billing Information

By making a purchase through our Service, you agree to provide accurate and true information for your name, email address, billing and delivery address, and contact number. You also acknowledge that your information (excluding credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted over various networks, and may be adapted to conform to technical requirements of networks and devices. However, credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks for security purposes.

SECTION 6 – Refunds and Returns

Please note that we are unable to resell returned soap products due to hygiene and quality control reasons. However, to minimise waste as much as possible, we have implemented a returns process where all returned soap bars are either downcycled or composted on-site at our studio.

Our Refund Policy is subject to the following conditions:

1. The customer must have purchased the product from our Service and provide valid proof of purchase.
2. Before sending the product back, customers must contact us at thesoapstandard@gmail.com and provide a written description of the issue along with photographic evidence.
3. Customers are responsible for paying for their own shipping costs for returning the item, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
4. We reserve the right to limit returns or exchanges in all instances, and will only replace items if they are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
5. We do not accept returns for a change of mind.

Once the returned item is received, it will be inspected to ensure that it meets the eligibility criteria of the Refund Policy. If approved, you will be notified via email, and the timing of the refund will depend on your payment method and financial institution. If the request is rejected, the item will be returned to you with a reason provided. Each order is carefully inspected and photographed before being packed in a padded paper mailer. Orders sent via Australia Post include tracking and are covered for loss or damage up to $100 AUD under Australia Post’s terms.

While we take every care when packing your order, delivery delays or issues once the parcel is in transit are outside our control. If your order arrives damaged or appears to be lost, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help guide you through the next steps with Australia Post.

However, we understand that this can be a frustrating situation, and we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so that we can provide any support or assistance that we can.
